Just had this idea the other day playing some pickleball too. Would do the business a little differently though

Curious to hear what you'd do differently!

My initial idea was to go B2B, a simple camera device per court that flashes red on out of bounds shot. Let's businesses provide a quality of life upgrade.

looked more into swing vision and there's so much to it, looks like a great tool

We currently have a permanent setup as well! At the moment line calls are either through audio or by checking in the UI on a secondary device like iPad or Apple Watch.

great work. Lots of opportunity imo, competitive leagues, universities, etc. Too bad I don't have the experience ya'll want

I think it’s only the 193 series of classes that are industry-related electives. Swift is open source too.

One time my driver had a TV show playing on their dashboard phone on 101.

This happens to me >70% in the Bay peninsula now.

I tried to report this and Uber does not make it easy. It does not fit in any of the multiple choice categories and there's no freeform. At least there was none back then, started to use waymo.

I also had someone do this while their Tesla was in self driving mode. When I insisted he turn it off, he said “it’s not about you bro”.

> Also React dev experience makes anything Swift related look like stone age technology

How so?

Presumably hot reload and IDE integrations that actually work. Xcode is really crappy compared to other IDEs, so platforms that can avoid it for most of your work tend to be an advantage. Xcode 26 generally broke anything that relies on indexing, like autocomplete, edit in scope, or refactoring, among others.

The npm ecosystem is one of the worst and most backwards places to be, so I don't think so.

- Hot reload that actually works.

- OTA updates, skipping Apple review for every little thing. Really speeds up builds too.

- Repack and module federation aren’t even possible on native

- running tests on iOS - 2 minutes minimum and having to boot the simulator in most cases. RN - seconds

- IDE with all sorts of plugins, that are impossible on Xcode, Rozenite

- AI trained on lots more React code, where they usually struggle to use Swift 6 properly

and a bunch more things

I assume all the extra work you have to do to make it work instead of using the native language.

If the project is simple to port over then it should have just been a website.

Haven't tried this yet, but I'm not confident in OpenAI's ability to make a great Mac app. ChatGPT for macOS is a buggy mess, doesn't have feature parity with the web, and hasn't been noticeably improving.

Even in services?

My experience with corporate Apple services (MDM):

"We changed the terms of service. Accept them to keep using this service."

Outside of that, not much in the way of communication. They change and you keep catching up to them.

No communication does not mean no user testing.

„Ankle Deep Shit“

I've been filming talks from a Swift meetup in spatial video optimized for Apple Vision Pro: https://vimeo.com/user236505446/videos.
