Hi all, I’m the developer of Ragdoll Mayhem Maker. This started as an internal level editor for my physics-based game. The sandbox/editor is included with the full game on Steam, but levels are just JSON and I mainly use an external editor.

I wanted to share it here mainly to get feedback from people who’ve built physics tools or level editors before.

Happy to answer any technical questions if anybody has any.

Why would you link to basically a blank webpage. I dont even know what this is? Why would this blank webpage end up on hn frontpage? What is even going on here?

What I expect from my indies is love, care, and attention to details.

I hate to say it but I completely agree, don't want to be a downer I'm sure OPs project is cool, but I legitimately could not understand what it was based on this landing page. No videos, demos or details.

Came here to say this. Sounded interesting but website gives me no info

All of the level preview images show up as placeholder gray images that say 300x200 for me on iOS Safari. Not sure if it’s like that on all platforms and screen sizes, or just an oversight on mobile for example.

I assume this is a level maker for a game? A link to the game on that page would be great.

They have a link to the Steam store page for the game.

The Steam store page has some videos and screenshots.

Hi all I'm looking for alpha testers for my ragdoll sandbox game, Ragdoll Tumble (Working title)

Then hides back under the covers...

Hi All I'm really into cozy games and wanted a chilled out golf game that I could play on my Steam deck in front of the TV. So I went and made one myself! I made it so that levels are easy to traverse through but you can challenge yourself if you want to.

I have demake in development for a game jam at the moment as well. This is I link to an early version of the demake https://www.lexaloffle.com/bbs/?pid=136972#p

I will have an update with updated physics soon and the physics in the Steam game are a lot better. Please let me know what you think.

I will be updating the physics, adding sounds and maybe adding some bonus features that are not in the original Steam release https://store.steampowered.com/app/2541820/Possibly_Endless_...

I first started developing my game in Unity but didn't like that I wasn't getting an instant feedback loop like in other code first game engines so I moved my development to Monogame and couldn't be happier, especially now that Unity have brought in those stupid per install fees. Is anybody else going to make the move or are you just going to wait it out?

So I've tried Reddit, Facebook and YouTube promotions. Twitter Ads wouldn't run but that's because I think you need to subscribe now. I have Adsense still in it's learning phase and I plan to try TikTok soon.

Out of the ones tried up to now YouTube promotion was the most useless and Reddit wasn't worth it as any normal posts I've made on my game have preformed better than the ad.

Weirdly Adsense seems to have performed better than all the ad networks upto now just in it's learning phase. I will write an update with performance numbers once I finish this little experiment.

Are there any other ad platforms you could recommend?

Looking for feedback on a golf game I created using Monogame. The game should be out on the 5th September with an update coming soon acting on feedback I've already recieved.

I have some gameplay videos on youtube https://youtu.be/smrTImxVvyk and can also provide keys to those that are interested.

just started watching the linked vid and I noticed that your button icons are a bit low res. I have seen a vid a long time ago, where one indie dev, created a whole pack of icons for exactly this use, covers all systems / PC /consoles. It was so long ago, i cannot remember or find the video, however, I did a quick seach and found this, looks simlar, but i havent verified it.

Yes thanks that is one of the things I am updating with the next release

My first ever PC release. Possibly Endless because it would take in my calculations 30-50 years to see all possible levels.

My first play through while narrating
