I hate to say this, but a researcher in biology ain't a statistician or logician. Many math paper hand waves over many parts of a proof.. yet both of those can be and have been useful in practice.
That may well be the case. My suspicion is that many research papers would not pass such a quality review. I am not saying anything about their usefulness, though.
You are not suggesting it, but as some might, I want to emphasize that I think it is, really, really, really bad idea to argue for limiting exposure of the bad practices because the papers may be useful even when not following good practices.
The science can work only when we can trust that the foundation it has been built on, including previous research, is solid.
The trust is partly based on the fact that science is self-correcting. As we know from charge of electron measurements, the existing narrative can work against the self-correction, even when everybody is trying to be as truthful as possible.
My impression is that to a large extend, on many fields, publication numbers (and money) have become so important that self-correction process may have become broken.
Currently. But nothing requires is. Banks can uniquely create M1. Nvidia is creating M4, which turns into M2 through the money markets, which turns into M1 at banks. It's more convoluted and limited than the Fed creating monetary base to increase M1. But the net effect is similar–more M1.

The summary is synced through iCloud to the Siri app on all your devices, is "stored" for a week, and can be saved permanently.
Apple's marketing screenshots show "Always On - Listen for conversations all day" as one of the four main options when you first turn it on.
Is the speech to text happening on the watch and then the transcription is getting summarized on the phone? If so, the argument may not be as clear cut IMO.

In very large scale DDoS, incoming SYN alone can cog your down pipe. You need to upgrade the connection just for that

You can do lots of these without using cdn, yes. But it is easier with cdn and it is cheaper than paying for extra capacity "just in case"
It's statistics that emerges with very high probability due to the law of large numbers. If you calculate 1+1=2 with 100% probability, then quantum physics doesn't meaningfully participate in your reasoning, not more than brownian motion.
Not every project needs to be a reverse engineering project, and the future looks pretty bleak if getting Linux to work on every new computer turns into one. Hopefully this remains an Apple problem with their proprietary crap.
GPU firmware interfaces being proprietary and heavily guarded secrets is in no way whatsoever an Apple thing. Even the Raspberry Pi is in much the same boat.
Most of the time it’s an upstream vendor NDA. In Apple’s case they own the whole stack for the GPU so that doesn’t apply here. But it’s certainly not special to not divulge GPU internals.
