Both can be true. It’s a much lower capital threshold to enter the verification game than the fan building game.

Not much different, no. But I thought it was a good story, bringing it to Kazakhstan, which traditionally doesn't have a semi industry.

Why do you say that?

Nursultan Kabylkas designed the first chip in Kazakhstan, and in the process he bootstrapped a new national industry.

> Through a partnership with a Chinese fab, the team got space on Multi-Project Wafer (MPW) and received back their RISC-V general purpose processor. The project went viral, the media caught on, and the project gained national attention.

Kudos. But very expectedly it was a Chinese fab.

Kudos to China then. The world can always benefit from more supply. The US was the one who brought semiconductor manufacturing to Japan and Taiwan over 60 years ago. Now it's China's time to shine.

China talk is brilliant.

Most companies overlook the true cost and complexity of deploying hardware in the physical world - FlyingWire’s innovative approach to deploy-through-material-design could slash that expense to zero.

Thank you! That’s exactly the problem we were trying to adresss at first was just a consolidated place to monitor new opportunities as they came out. I would love to talk about your experience (and any friends) if you’re open to it!

This was a fun episode to record! First episode of a new podcast.

I have heard this elsewhere. Agree that seems to be the best tool out there.

I was thinking more about fabless jobs. Maybe you’re thinking fab / process engineering jobs?

The funnel for design is a little wider. Nevertheless, if you aren’t early in your career, I suspect you’ll find that most firms are not interested in people who do not have specific experience building something fairly close to their current product. If none of the handful of players in your segment are interested, see above.

I suppose there could be some shift in market dynamics now that the political leadership here has decided to shut down what’s left of the talent pipeline. I think most firms will just accelerate their shift to more stable geographies, though.
