This article does pretty much talk about the past when they did control the government. It's also been well known that the left has spent more money in all of the elections for a long time. Kamala spent over $1B on her campaign which was much more than Trump.

I'd like to find out if the dollar figures in the article are correct -- that tells the real story.

How much tax revenue and job revenue which translates to sales revenue, employment taxes, donations, etc has Google generated for California over the years? Is it a business they couldn’t have started somewhere else? Should the beholden to the state in perpetuity?

To be clear, Billionaires often pay zero income taxes. Not 1%, not 5, not 10. They pay $0 in income taxes. Many in the shrinking middle class pay almost half their income in tax.

Can you then guess who gets more representation and voice in the government?

Why in the world would you not believe this? Trump has come out and publicly stated that he wants Greenland over and over. He's literally said that the military option is on the table. You don't have to believe this article at all, but it's obviously true just because of what Trump himself has said.

I find this a bit hard to believe that they refuse to index it at all if the robots.txt doesn't exist. Would love to see more data or confirmation on this.

I love the look of it... I wish there was a Linux desktop that looked like BeOS / Haiku. I've tried to get some GTK themes and things working in the past but they never work properly.

I sure hope Google does something to reward high quality content sites. I'd love to see forums with long histories and high quality content on specific subjects get some kind of love/bump. They seem to be the best source of legitimate information with back and forth discussion, pictures, etc.. and search features that actually work.

Reddits and subreddits are also great for this, so I understand why Reddit ranks so high.

I think this is one of the arguments for the 2nd amendment that too often gets overlooked. Overthrowing the government is a lot easier if the populace is legally armed AND the government doesn't know who owns what or how many guns. Which is why it is that way specifically here in the US.
