My understanding of the landscape currently is that KDE Plasma is the only major DE that supports HDR. I use it for Steam for that reason.

What is "seo.ai" and how do they determine the numbers they publish? I looked and didn't find any methodology or real data, just a bunch of fluff words.

There are two camps who have largely made up their minds just talking past each other, instinctively upvoting/downvoting their camp, etc. These threads are nearly useless, maybe a few people on the fringes change their minds but mostly it's just the same tired arguments back and forth.

There's a button at the top of the page to disable it.

> around 50% taxes between state, local.

Truly? I believe he lives in Washington State. It's really HALF of his income?

When you're talking millions in income it can be that high depending on your state... IIRC, as peer comment mentions, Washington doesn't have state taxes, you still have a nominal rate for Federal at 38% though, and I'm not sure about sales, property or other taxes, which again, likely approach or exceed 50% against total income.

Just checked, seems it's now 37% for the top federal bracket... for what it's worth, I think it's amoral to tax more than half of what someone makes, regardless of how much they make.

Washington state does not have a state income tax, FYI.

> Everything should be Tailwind because all code is written by LLMs these days.

Sarcasm? Bait? Woefully misinformed?

Not all code is written by LLM these days.

In most simple cases you probably don't want to be handling request-response initiated DOM updates in a Stimulus controller. Turbo Frames and Turbo Streams are the more htmx-like in functionality and they're excellent for this.

> Amar Subramanya, Microsoft’s corporate vice president of AI, will be Apple’s new vice president of AI.

That doesn't bode well. The last thing I want from macOS is Windows-like overbearing insistence on AI everything.

He’s really a Google guy, spent about half a minute at Microsoft.

As always, the answer is that we need to found our own companies and stop letting the vampires suck our blood.
