This one strikes straight to the heart. We pivoted post YC batch to what was hot at the time and saw a lot of competition (some raising millions more than us). We thought this market validation. Five years later, almost every single company on that list has either died or pivoted.

I mean, markets and industries change as well. Companies that have product market fit today can find themselves having to pivot as the sands shift under them.

Similar experience. Went through a phase of drinking once or twice a week. Started GLP-1, completely dropped the drinking habit to the point where there is zero desire of drinking.

Now, I wish it could do this for late night sugary snacks as well since that's my crux.

I know that the Model S platform is old but for me it was always seen as a halo car. I've owned three of them and I really wished they would release a completely redesigned S version.

I think this is where someone says "you're not the target market"

I thought the same thing about the (usable, upgradable) mac pro, but then they came out with the trash can mac pro 2013.

General question but how do you charge it while it's on the fridge?

I still rewatch this video once or twice a year. I think it's a classic in my opinion.

Yes. Been a life long Apple fan, this is the first OS update I am unwilling to upgrade to. iPhone is one thing, but ruining my desktop experience is extremely annoying. I'm dreading the day I need to upgrade to an M5 Pro MBP later this year.

I wonder if it's because there's a hidden agenda of introducing a touch friendly interface where pixel perfection doesn't matter. Maybe the rumors are true about a touchscreen MacBook.

Even if this is true, it doesn't justify breaking the interface for keyboard/mouse users. They're big enough to handle both cases.

By chance are you using any Logitech stuff? I have a similar issue and narrowed it down to one of the Logi Options taking focus away randomly.

Who is responsible at the end of the day for these renames? Marketing or someone higher?

I worked at a couple of companies that tried to do internal LOB apps. Every single time, these projects have failed because the cost to maintain usually is more than just paying a subscription fee to a third party.
