Thanks! I have apps to do spam call and spam text message filterig. But the game has shifted w/ scammers. Its all GenAI now. So, had to adapt to the new scam world. Running on-device is the main value I add imo.


Theres actually 2 other HUGE winners in these Indian elections: 1. The Election Commission of India that galvanized 60-80% of the voters to turn out (normally its 30-40%). 70% women voter turnout. 90% 18-29 voter age turnout 2. Youth voters < 29 yrs of age

India will see 500-600 mln voters turn out in May for the LokSabha elections. The US could learn 2 lessons from all this: 1. How a true democracy with 60% voter participation works 2. You can send a man to the moon but cant have a woman President. How do other countries integrate women politicians and why it works

That's not a fair critique at all. Had Barack Obama (first black president) not won, there's a very real possibility that Hillary Clinton would have been elected president. Both of which represent political firsts and a changing system towards greater integration.


Note to all my iphone app users: -Yes. I just tripled the price of my app. Why you may ask. Read on -You whined about missing features; I added them. You whined about in-app purchases. I removed them. You whined about a missing help section. I gave you videos & pics inside the app. You never saw them. Dont lie to me-I see all your clicks inside the app. -Oh yeah! You are threatening me with a 1-star review because you forgot to check your inbox for the result from the app. You are an app review terrorist. I just tripled the price of my app as insurance against such terror threats -You asked for a discount on the app when it was priced $2.99!! I am responding by tripling my app price. I HAVE read all my competitor's reviews. They priced it $0 for a reason.

Just made my middle-school kids' summer break more interesting. If you take all this js knowledge and add android/ios skills, you can increase your hourly fees by 10X. I myself would hire you for my mobile suite of apps.


At a very order-of-magnitude level, your stats are exactly in line with my 1.5yrs of experience in the paid-app biz category. 3 of my apps have spent large amounts of time b/w #17 and #300. In the biz category, you can get into the top-25 with about 70+ downloads per day. 30-50 will get you into the top-50. My apps are priced 1.99-4.99

All the comments about spending $$ to get into the charts is bs. I know competitors who have released their first apps in the last few weeks. And reached the top-10 very quickly. Fantastic UI, rock-solid services and solving a real problem took them there. They charge $10...yup. Thats right-10 bucks!! All that bs about 99 cent apps only selling is debunked too.

DONT buy ads; dont spend $$ on anything other than solving the primary problem the app addresses. Just narrow your problem domain. User will pay you $$ for it.


Heres why you should persevere though: I have 5 ios apps; together, they pay for my property tax and my mortgage. My house costs $1.1 mln btw. Prop tax in CA is ~1.25%. I am not deeply wedded to ios btw inspite of my revenue. I moved my client side code to Android. Took me ~3 weeks. Unlike Simon, I hedge my (appstore) bets.


AppGratis is a pay-to-play platform. About $20k per app. If you watch the performance of one such AppGratis recommended app, Recorder Pro. The $20k couldnt even keep them in the top-50 in the biz category for a month. Seems a waste of dev mkting $$$ imo.

Simon should stop whining and just shift to Android. God knows it needs curation. The amount of filth in goog play is unbelievable.


There are a few ways you can work with AppGratis, but 20k per app is no where near close. They're good people to work with and as an advertising medium for a small shop are excellent value compared to running ads elsewhere.


They advertised me for free, 3 occasions, almost 1000 000 downloads..my app is alive because of it.
