That being said, I'll probably just find another platform if that happens, some SBC that can run linux, heck, we're almost at the point where it's realistic to build a good-enough computer out of whatever Atmel chips you can get free samples of :)

And those are true heroes.

It is an immense effort to make proprietary hardware to work well, specially Apple hardware.

I meant the original comment, that soon there will be no PC that runs Linux - I do hope for this because I feel this would be perfect business opportunity for somebody to come by and build PC's that run Linux and sell them for $ :)

I definitively don't want to live in this kind of world :P

But there is already companies selling computers with linux pre-installed like system76, dell and others.
