I found this referenced in Politico's Global Insider columns[1] and thought the use of tech to aid public opinion manipulation would be relevant to the HN crowd (i.e. the use of StyleGAN to create authentic user profiles).
Sorry, I meant the links in the article you submitted. They're all archive.today links. It's an archiving service (like the Internet Archive) that seems to run on one person's money, PayPal, and advertising (unlike the Internet Archive). It has a bunch of different TLDs.
I think it came out of GamerGate? And it's popular with Reddit conspiracy theorists, so I was wondering about the State Department using it.
