That's an artifact of what you happen to notice, which is considerably affected by your preferences. I don't mean you personally—we all seem to have this bias [1]. I can point you to hundreds of complaints saying that the bias goes just the opposite way. Some examples: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=26148870. Every passionate ideologue thinks their side is the one being treated unfairly, that the mods are biased against them, that the community swings in the opposite direction, and so on.

If you or anyone notice an account that's using HN primarily for ideological battle, we're just as interested in banning it (or asking them to stop [2]) regardless of which way they're firing.

[2] Whether we ban an account or ask it to stop, or how many times we ask it to stop before banning it, depends on other factors like how long it's been around and how many good things it's also posted. This is not a political or ideological question.
