What high horse? I live in the West, and I subscribe to modern Western values. I don’t think homosexuality should be punished in any way, here where I live. But what makes that belief universal? Pushing it on people with completely different cultural contexts and historical backgrounds is no different from what “enlightened” Europeans did to these same people in the past. It is just hard for us to see that today because it is our current morality. And yes, many people today and throughout history do not share our current moral system, obviously.
