The easiest thing to do with a really old computer is get it an Ethernet card of some form (they almost always had them and they're not terribly hard to actually build) or a serial port, and connect it to a modern Linux computer as a dumb terminal.

Many people prefer those old computers and their (adjusted for inflation) $200 keyboards.

Other devices had absolutely horrible keyboards and should best be forgotten. PCjr.
