A bit strange to mention Lazarus as if it was a thing of the past ("could never match...") but then also mention a few lines below that the last release was a week ago (almost two weeks now). It's more of a statement about life of not-mainstream open source projects vs what companies with many dollars can do. From the two, it's Delphi that's dead to me ;-)
