GStreamer 1.24: New heights in embedded, network streaming and analytics (collabora.com)

GstMeta is an interesting development, especially over unixfd.

Is there already a sink/src (stream?) type for subtitles? I wonder how that works.

I hope we see some PipeWire integration with this new non-audio non-video stream. Seems like each project is expanding their beachhead of inter-process concerns rapidly; hope they can meet in the middle!

The various web integrations here are neat as heck too.

Gstreamer is such epic software.

Why do I want an analytics platform in my GNOME software?

Woah, let's back up. Why do I want GNOME software? ;D

I try to avoid anything under the FreeDesktop umbrella since they have blatantly violated their charter and lied to their donors.

The latest on the GStreamer 1.24 release.
