What happens when the privacy laws and bureaucracy make it so complicated and expensive to run things that only the big boys can play? Seems like it could be headed right back to the same problem again and I feel like many in the EU already believe this is happening with businesses in general.
Ehm.. this is not a too-complicated-to-comply issue. It's Big Tech ignoring the law.
Luckily, while EU regulators are slow, they do have teeth. More mega-fines coming up in 3..2..1..
Btw: I wish "ban non-compliant products from sale" would be an option for regulators. And if so, more readily applied.
Fines work somewhat. But Big Tech may just do the math, eat it & remain non-compliant. I'm sure that eg. [all iPhones banned from sale across the EU] would get Apple moving quicker.
