I read his book. I found it obnoxious but with nuggets of truth. There's definitely kool-aid drinkers and non kool-aid drinkers at organizations, and steering both toward productive work is the ultimate goal of management. The carrots/sticks to do that differ.
The whole thing is worth a read, as well as the organization man, and you’ll find all the strange ways it relates to your situation should you work in a similar “office” setting.
