The problem is that the people who own the platforms, are biased in one direction or the other, and hence influence the platforms to manipulate the platform users. There is no such thing as an unbiased platform or government since the platform owners also influence all governments, schools, and organizations world-wide. I understand it is a difficult concept, but the sooner people realize that they live in a biased society, based on self-interest, the faster they can figure out who to trust or not trust. Sadly, it has taken me more than 40 years to figure this out :(
