I know it doesn't get the attention of HN. But Safari, after 10 years finally became somewhat usable and competitive since 18.1, in terms of rendering, web features and site compatibilities. It is still lacking behind in terms of Performance and Memory compared to Chrome And Firefox.

Safari 26.2 so far has been the smoothest for a long time. There used to be bugs or rendering difference everywhere, then they became scarce but there and now mostly gone. There are still some way to go before if ever catching up to Chrome or Firefox. But at least it went from tolerating to good enough browser for now.

Hopefully hey continue to spend resources on Webkit and Safari. Especially in Many ( hundreds ) Tabs memory usage on Desktop. They need to unload tabs rather than slowing down all tabs.
