Building an OS from scratch, need your opinion on volume names

Hello,

I’m programming my own operating system completely from scratch (not Linux-based), and I’d like to ask you a question: What is your preferred volume naming scheme?

Do you prefer something similar to Windows (C:, D:, etc.), or more like Linux (sda1, etc.)?

I genuinely respect your preference and care about your opinion, who knows, you might even use my OS in the future once I finish developing it!

Thanks bro.

I really like the "everything is a file" aspect of Linux. Windows does have the concept of mount points, but it's a little convoluted. Making that first-class with all volumes mounted off of root somewhere (even if down a few folders) makes life easier in a bunch of scenarios.

Well, I think it's difficult to satisfy both Windows and Linux users at the same time :) I think I'll combine the two, but with some special touches.

Thanks, bro.
