As far as I'm aware, Firefox doesn't support h.264. They support codecs provided by your operating system. Firefox can't include h.264 decode because they would be violating patent law.

And they could presumably find a way to support DRM modules provided by the operating system, if the pressure was great enough.

does. New FF versions will play back h.264 if the system has the codec installed.
